secca workdays

a new show opens at secca friday may 5th. here is
a sneak preview of one of the characters in the show.
it is NOT my artwork, i am just sanding around the
edges to make it presentable for the show. there will
be 100 different characters from lots of different
artists.

the 2nd photo is of a very small painting i made
yesterday for my pal chuck's birthday.

i love the beach!

wow. i just got back from 2 and a half days at
emerald isle nc. it was so beautiful. the weather
was perfect, i was with great friends, i got to read
and paint all day - or do nothing at all...... it
was a great vacation!

"Arts Unleashed" magical mandala dog

im so happy to have FINALLY finished painting
my dog for the humane society fundraiser. for
those of you in town, the pet parade happens
saturday, april 29 on trade st. it should be
pretty fun to see all the dogs and cats. i am
showing pictures of mine. after i took the
photos, i nailed little gold sequins on the
wooden base to make it a little prettier.

im also including a HORRIBLE photo of a shirt
i embroidered for my friend steve. its really
blurry, but you can kind of make out what it is.
he asked for a werewolf riding a bike but ended
up with this hedgehog looking creature instead.
pretty cute.

april is here

wow, what a beautiful day it was today.
i left work early today because we werent
too busy and spent a couple of hours in the
studio. then i went to a meeting at a
friend's loft in a newly renovated downtown
building. it was a magnificent space. i would
love to do a photo shoot there sometime.
im still into my embroidery projects.
the only sewing i did this week was to make
an apron for ricky since his painting apron
fell apart. i made it out of some neat
camo fabric. i should photograph it sometime.
i have to have the dog sculpture finished in
6 days, so wish me luck!
